Job Description : | OSUF TRUE NORTH: We raise, invest and distribute philanthropic support for OSU. OSUF PRODUCT SCOPE: We provide private support to enhance the University’s ability to fulfill its land-grant mission. DEPARTMENT PURPOSE: The Marketing and Communications department collaborates with internal and external partners to provide expertise and strategic engagement services to achieve the OSU Foundation’s mission of excellence. PRIMARY PURPOSE: As a member of the Creative Services team within the Marketing and Communications department, this position will produce work that supports the OSU Foundation’s fundraising and stewardship initiatives while maintaining organizational and university branding standards. In particular, the Creative Services team seeks to create a rewarding donor experience that is consistent across all engagement channels and initiatives. This position supports these efforts through a variety of creative projects ranging from print and digital design to assisting with video production and photography requests. This position will work closely with the Communications team within the Marketing and Communications Department, as well as the larger Strategic Engagement group that includes Donor Relations, Special Events and Annual Giving. KEY AREAS OF FOCUS: Digital Design: Create graphics and design content for OSUgiving.com Support digital engagement campaigns by producing creative materials for various social media channels Develop and send emails through the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform Maintain a consistent user experience across all digital channels that is aligned with organizational and university branding standards Print Design: Produce editorial designs for various publications such as STATE magazine, as well as fundraising appeals, brochures, and impact reports Create advertisements for various publications, including STATE magazine, athletic programs, and local and state newspapers Produce direct marketing designs for a variety of Annual Giving fundraising campaigns Design environmental and communication pieces for OSU Foundation sponsored events Maintain a consistent user experience across all materials that is aligned with organizational and university branding standards Videography: Assist Creative Services team with setup and execution of video shoots Photography: Assist Creative Services team with photography requests that may include luncheons, large events/announcements, editorial uses, and individual portraits Other duties as assigned. JOB COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in graphic design, digital design or in a closely related field. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must use a computer terminal and view a computer screen for extended periods of time. Must talk in person or by phone (frequently and sometimes for extended periods) to people on campus and across the country. Must constantly use visual acuity to check printed and designed materials of various types. Must be able to navigate within the OSU Foundation. Typical office working conditions. |
