Job Description Design experience and attention to detail are a must for this role. This position will collaborate with other departments in developing a wide variety of print and digital communications, e-blast communications, photo editing/product shoots and some web page layouts. The position is heavily digital and print design with some photography/Photoshop work. Familiarity with DSLR photography is required. Remote & Onsite Position Our Graphic Designer is required to work onsiteas well as offsite job locationsfor occasional photo and video production. There is availability to work remote on days your onsite presence is not required. Remote employees must be able to meet the standards of The Pond Guy’s telecommuting policy which include internet speeds and workspace requirements. Don’t know much about ponds? That’s ok! We utilize an interactive combination of hands-on and visual training to ensure everyone has a full understanding of TPG, Inc.’s proactive approach to pond management. Here are some of your job duties: Responsible for seeing all assigned projects through to completion. From concept and design to production Work as a part of a collaborative design team Receive and complete design tickets (placed through our in-house system) in a timely and effective manner Work closely with the Marketing Team to create collateral, promotional and advertising pieces for all social media platforms, web, and print use Support the Sales Team in creating necessary sales materials including, but not limited to, tradeshow ephemera and displays Work with the Product Development Team to develop packaging and manuals for all products Work closely with the Art Director and General Manager on the design and production of catalogs and marketing material Manage digital assets through file organization and DAM software Successfully capture and edit product and landscape photography Conduct vendor management by working with printers from bidding to the final product; Press checks may be required Maintain brand consistency management by working with marketing team and Art Director to build and maintain brand integrity throughout all digital/printed material as well as vehicle graphics and tradeshow displays and materials Work directly with the Marketing and Web Development Team to design and layout content for websites, marketplaces and email campaigns Job Requirements To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills: 5+ years or more working as a professional designer Strong, conceptual thinker who possesses a wide range of design capabilities Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software a must (current version CS) Experience in digital and print design required; Packaging, branding, web, video production or editing, catalog production and/or retail graphics a plus Working knowledge of DSLR camera – Photoshop skills clipping and color correcting images Comfortable working with and managing outside vendors and printers Successfully manages their time, workflow and schedule in order to meet strict and sometimes aggressive deadlines Demonstrate strong organizational skills in order to juggle multiple projects at the same time Possess solid presentation, listening and communication skills Open and receptive to design critique but also able to represent their own work and stand up for design they believe in Resourceful: Able to problem solve and find multiple design solutions, especially under narrow parameters or budget restraints Able to collaborate with other members of the design team and effectively communicate their own ideas BFA or related degree Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Proofreading all projects you touch – be accountable Must be able to work in a Mac environment Microsoft office & Microsoft Teams knowledge a must This position requires manual dexterity for typing, sitting at a desk and looking at a computer screen for typing for long periods of time. In addition, portions of the position may require physical activity including lifting 25-35 pounds, standing for long periods of time and traveling to outdoor locations working with various weather conditions. We need a Senior Designer that has a positive attitude and the words “can’t” and “impossible” are not a part of your vocabulary. You’ll have the ability to learn quickly and grow with our company. This person should continually add value to the organization beyond their day-to-day tasks. Availability You must be available to work between the hours of 7am and 6pm Monday – Friday with the occasional evening or Saturday for projects that must be done outside of normal business hours.
