| Job Description : | POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand Communications, the designer/manager oversees the development of all MLKCH visual brand collateral. The role will both require in-house direct design support as well as management of design vendors on a range of products, including digital design, leadership presentations, print collateral and more. This person will lead branded projects from a creative POV through the initial pitch and development of a campaign, overseeing the creation of high-quality creative work, coordinating the efforts of multiple teams, and ensuring campaign success. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Understanding of, and ability to execute, a brand style based on provided guidelines. Conceive and execute ambitious branded campaigns that translate our organization’s objectives into compelling content. Work collaboratively with our programmatic staff, as well as our foundation, executive communications, marketing, branded creative and editorial teams on product and campaign development. Source and manage external design and creative vendors to deliver content that is on-brand and deadline. Direct and/or edit videos when necessary at a high level and confidently communicate your creative vision to production and post-production teams. Confidently use a wide variety of creative platforms and programs to generate content, including InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as online platforms such as Visme, Animoto, etc. Ensure ideas can happen relative to budgets, timing, and capabilities. POSITION REQUIREMENTS A. Education Bachelor’s Degree Masters in Fine Arts preferred B. Qualifications/Experience 6-8 years experience at a creative agency, prior experience in digital media, editorial preferred. C. Special Skills/Knowledge A proven ability in creating branded and sponsored content in thoughtful ways across multiple platforms. Strong storyteller with excellent communication skills and ability to inspire internal and external stakeholders with your ideas. Proven track record of identifying, vetting, and hiring diverse vendors and personnel that can compellingly translate our brand identity. An interest in and deep knowledge of the social web, including experience producing work for a variety of platforms and social networks. Ability to analyze content trends and audience insights and translate those to new branded content opportunities.
